WHAT IS CAREER/LIFE-TRANSITION COACHING?
Coaching is a partnership you establish when you have an idea about what you want to do but need help getting there.
Coaches have been trained to listen carefully to you, help you clarify your goals, and work with you to set achievable steps that can lead you to those goals.
Coaches will honestly work with you to recognize your strengths and options, and then help you develop tools to reach your goals.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Coaching is not a guaranteed process. Its success is largely dependent on your ability and willingness to set achievable goals, and then make necessary changes in your life. Career coaching is not, nor can it replace, counseling with a qualified mental health professional.
HOW LONG WILL COACHING TAKE?
The Coaching relationship may be short-term to address a specific issue, or may extend over several years. Coaching can be renewed during times of stress or change when the future is uncertain, and can then be dissolved when goals are reached.
IS COACHING CONFIDENTIAL?
Everything discussed in your coaching session is confidential, unless you release me in writing to disclose information to a particular person, or if I am legally obligated to disclose something specific.
WHAT IS THE COST FOR COACHING?
The fee for the initial intake session (typically 60 to 90 minutes) is $95.00, payable at the time of the session. At the end of the intake session, the client and coach will mutually schedule and contract for the next three meetings. The standard coaching fee is $85 per 55 minute session. This is due at the time of the session. Note: fees may change with 60 day notice.
WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE ME?
My coaching career has been an outgrowth of work as an engineering project manager in Alaska, where I worked for seven years. While there, I was asked by several mid-level managers to help them sort out career and performance issues. I found that I truly enjoyed the coaching process, and discovered that I had a talent for listening and encouraging, a very special talent in the engineering world. I have completed Life Coach training from an International Coaching Federation approved training provider, and am working on fulfilling all of the national certification requirements. My chosen specialty is career coaching and coaching during life transitions.
I am excited to return to Issaquah and continue my coaching. I look forward to meeting you and walking with you on your journey.
